Whether you are looking for a relaxing day or some furiously fast fun, we have the perfect choice for you.

You may choose to spend the day in picturesque Whitby (below) on the East Yorkshire Coast with its colourful Harbour (and wonderful Fish 'n' Chips). For Shopperholics, there is Middlesbrough, Darlington and Hartlepool Marina. Not to mention Europes Largest Shopping Complex, The Metro Centre in Gateshead approximately 45 minutes drive from the hotel!

Close by on the River Tees White Water Rafting (right)is available, along with a multitude of Sports and activities.

A few hundred yards from the Best Western Parkmore is Preston Hall Museum, with its beautiful ground, variety of birds, animals and butterfly world, the museum itself has a wealth of history. Also within a short drive are the wonderful Yorkshire Dales, with its rolling hills, and quaint villages. Whilst a bit closer to home, there is  the historic town of Yarm. A pretty town with a cobbled high street, with a good selction of shops, eateries and bars.
